Thomas Dale Maran

Thomas Dale Maran, age 78, of Syracuse, IN passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 12, 2021. He was born on October 26, 1943 in Maple Heights, OH to Lillian (Franko) and August A. Maran. He married the love of his life, Jane Morris on September 12, 1964.

Tom is survived by his wife, Jane Maran; sister, Patti Maxwell; son, Thomas D. Maran Jr.; daughter, Dawn I. Maran; grandchildren, Jorge, Wynter, Slade, Desiree, Breckan, Braedon, and Halston; 5 great-grandsons; and 3 great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronnie; and brother and sister-in-law, John and Claudette Morris.

Tom worked for Cambridge Coatings in Ohio for 13 years. He also worked at Western Rubber in Goshen, IN for 25 years and retired from Walmart in 2010. Tom loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed watching them play sports. He had fun golfing with his buddies. He loved camping, fishing, playing cards, bowling, the cubs, and The Cleveland Browns. Tom was also a 32nd degree Mason.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service. Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorial donations may be given to Cancer Resources for Elkhart County.
