Stephen J. Torok

Stephen J. Torok, age 61, of Cromwell, IN passed away on December 8, 2019 at home. He was born on July 22, 1958 the son of Stephen Stanley and  Ida (Biggs) Torok in Elkhart, IN.

SFC Stephen J. Torok of 577th  ENGR BN, retired from the United States Army after many years of faithful service to his country.  He was a recipient of the meritorious service award, army commendation medal, army achievement medal, army good conduct medal, national defense service medal, Southwest Asia service medal, Army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon, and the Kuwait liberation medal. He loved his family, motorcycles, and above all his country.

Survivors include his parents, Stephen S. (Lil) Torok; a son, Stephen A Torok; two daughters, Jennifer K Torok Merritt and Stacy Post Torok; several grandchildren;  sisters, Elaine, Mona, Vicky, and Bonnie; brothers, Dawn “Woody” Torok and Victor Torok; his former wife, Laura (Richard) Lynch; and countless friends and brothers and sisters in arms.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Ida Torok.

Stephen will be laid to rest with military honors at Marion National Cemetery in Marion, IN on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 2PM.
