Sharon Anne Fowler

June 15, 1947 — February 9, 2020

My name is Sharon. If you have a few minutes, pull up a chair and pour a cup of coffee, sit with me while I'd love to tell you my story.

I was the oldest of seven kids.  I had five brothers, two sisters; all of which I loved and I helped raise them when I was young.  Mom was a homemaker, dad a traveling salesman.  I was born in Buffalo, New York.  All of my siblings were born in different parks of the country.  At an early age, because of all the traveling, we didn't have much except family.  But those values my father, Lester, instilled in me, I have kept close to me.  I always said if I had a son, I'd give him the life and experiences I never had.  God blessed me with a son named Kris.  He has and always has been my essence for life.  I have gotten the chance to see him grow from a little guy to the man he has become.  I almost didn't get the chance, as I almost died after having him.  I have given him the life I didn't have.  I was both mother and father to him, as his father and I parted ways when Kris was young.  His father, Kris Sr., bless his soul, passed away three years ago.  I can never thank him enough.  He gave me the greatest gift, our son.

Later in life, my friends knew me as a "Creative Cook."  I loved cooking and baking, particularly around the holidays.  I loved gardening and my favorite flowers were roses.  I was a kind-hearted woman, who wore her heart on her sleeve.  I was the type who put all my efforts into helping people.  I was a friend for life.  I was an active resident of Syracuse, Indiana, always being a tiger at town council meetings.  I was a fighter and always stood up for positive change.  I was self taught in everything I did.  I loved learning new things and looked forward to it.  To sum it up, I was a jack of all trades and a master of none.  I loved my friends in life, for whom I want to thank.  If I had the opportunity to life this life again, I wouldn't change a thing!  You made my day seeing you all each and every day, including while I was sick.

Well, my cup of coffee is done ... I enjoyed it til the last drop.  I look forward to having a cup with you when I see you again.  You know the coffee pot is always on.  If you want to know more about me, Kris has a lot of memories of me he'd love to share over a cup of coffee.  I'll always be with you in spirit, and I'll peek in from time to time.  Who knows? Since I was an awesome dispatcher, I was told, maybe I'll be dispatching a few angels your way.

Love you always, Sharon
