Robert "Bob" Yoder

Robert “Bob” Lawrence Yoder, age 72, of Topeka, IN passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Ashton Creek Health & Rehabilitation in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on March 11, 1948 the son of Robert and Mary (Gibson) Yoder in Topeka, IN.

Bob graduated from Westview High School and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in business from Ball State University. He served his country in the United States Army. Bob was part owner of the Yoder Oil Company for 16 years, and owned and operated B&G Laundromat. He was also a member of Topeka United Methodist Church. Bob had a love for old muscle cars, especially corvettes, which he owned several of over the years.  His favorite pastimes were boating and skiing with his family when he resided on Dallas Lake.

He is survived three children and their spouses, Kurt (Heather) Yoder, Eric (Megan) Yoder, Andrea (Beau) Craft; grandchildren, Kaleb Yoder, Addie Yoder, and Sterling Craft; and a brother, Dennis Yoder. He was preceded in death by, Robert and Mary Yoder, and a grandson, Archer Craft.

In keeping with his wishes, a private ceremony was held with Pastor Bob Wyman officiating. He was laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made in Bob’s honor to the Topeka United Methodist Church.
