Peter Church Parmater

ELKHART — Peter Church Parmater, 78, passed away, in Elkhart, on Thursday, June 28, 2018, with the love of his life, Mary Beth (Becky) Parmater, by his side.

They were married in August 1962 and had 56 wonderful years together.

He loved their three wonderful children, Andy (Kim) Parmater, Amy (Pete) Ybarra and Jill (Jeff) Tuley.

He also loved his brother, Frank (Rachel) Parmater, and his sister, Susan (Ron) Reilly.

He and Becky cherished the many special friendships they had over the years.

Pete was very proud of his eight grandchildren, Ryan, Jacob and Kyle Parmater, Samuel, Quinn and Courtney Ybarra, and Charlie and Joshua Tuley.

One of his greatest joys was watching his grandchildren grow up.

Pete and Becky loved spending time “Up North” snow skiing, kayaking, fishing, and exploring the lakes and beaches.

Pete was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist in Elkhart and also in Boston.

The family will be celebrating Pete’s life in a way he would want to be remembered from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Beardsley Ave. in Elkhart.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to the charity of one’s choice.
