Patricia Ann Reed

Patricia Ann Reed, age 78, of Shipshewana, IN, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 22, 1943, the daughter of Daniel and Irene (Szymanski) Pacynski in Toledo, OH. On March 3, 1963 she married Robert Dennis Reed; he preceded her in death on April 28, 1995.

She is survived by seven children, Thomas V. (Lisa) Reed of Gaylord, MI, Gary D. (Vanessa) Reed of Belize, Randy (Rita) Reed of Dunn, NC, Jon (Gina) Reed of Elkhart, IN, Eric J. (Teresa) Reed of Mendon, MI, Rebecca (Bill) Hites of Shipshewana, IN, and Robert Daren Reed of Elkhart, IN; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald (Linda) Sekulski of Deerfield, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two granddaughters; and four siblings, David Pacynski, Robert Pacynski, Richard Pacynski, and Beatrice Przepiora.

Pat loved her family, especially her great-grandbabies, and was a ruthless Uno player. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, crocheting, and collecting Precious Moments figurines. Pat also enjoyed reading good romance novels and was a diehard Elvis fan.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, a cremation committal will take place and the family will host a celebration of her life at a later date.
