Melissa Nicole Connell

Melissa Nicole Connell, age 29, of Irons, Michigan, formerly of Shady Grove, Florida passed away on Wednesday July 7, 2021 in Manistee County, Michigan as a result of an automobile accident. She was born on October 3, 1991 the daughter of Jamie and Mary (Armstrong) Goans in Tallahassee, FL.

She is survived by four sons, Jackson, James, Jesse, & Jerry all of Irons, Michigan; her parents, Mary (Travis) Goans of Topeka, IN, and Jamie (Lillie) Connell of Shady Grove, FL; a sister, Leah (Alvin Rocco) Armstrong of Perry, Florida and a brother, Kolby Connell of Shady Grove, Florida, and a niece Grace Rocco as well as many uncles, aunts and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirl Clark.

Melissa loved her children more than anything and was a devoted mother. She enjoyed shooting and always had her sidearm. Melissa also enjoyed kayaking, riding her ATV, and anything outdoors. She will be greatly missed.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A celebration of Melissa’s life will be held in Florida at a later date.
