Kay D. Nevil

Kay D. Nevil, age 82, of Big Lake, near Columbia City passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, peacefully in her sleep. She was born on January 22, 1940 in Huntington, IN to Paul and Hazel (Finney) Hunnicut.

Kay graduated from Huntington High School in 1958. She was the owner of the Blue Lady Beauty Shop in Wolflake and then moved to Goshen. She later returned to Noble County. She enjoyed singing karaoke, country music and playing with her great-grandbabies.

Survivors include a son, Todd Kiester of Kimmell; a daughter, Pamela Schroth of Goshen; two grandsons, Roth Miller and Ian Schroth of Elkhart; two great granddaughters, Mya and Lexa Miller; and two nephews, Jay and Travis Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Janice Hunnicutt.

In keeping with Kay’s wishes, no public visitation or services are planned.  A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier.

Memorial donations may be forwarded to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Whitley County Humane Society.
