Joseph Benjamin Bellinger

February 4, 1945 — February 10, 2022

Joseph Benjamin Bellinger , age 77, of Walnut Cove, NC, passed away on February 10, 2022 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen, IN following a brief illness. He was born on February 4, 1945 the son of Alford Franklin and Hazel (Harris) Bellinger in Emmett, Idaho.

Joseph was a resident of Walnut Cove, NC, but he traveled cross country for work and often visited family in Canton, MS, Spokane, WA, and Bremerton, WA.

He was a member of the LDS church & attended services throughout the country. Joseph was an Army Veteran and supported and donated to multiple charities involving patriotic/pro-freedom causes, religious affiliations, youth missions/educational programs, foster care system, nature conservation, and law enforcement.

Joseph enjoyed genealogy research, philanthropy, politics, and community- based development. He was a handyman and a true jack of all trades.

Joseph is survived by his children, Jeremy Bellinger and his spouse Tiffany Bellinger , James Data Logan and his spouse Chelsey Logan, Marie Rigsby and her spouse Jeff Rigsby, & Roxanne Lucky and her spouse Thomas Lucky; Grandchildren, Austin Bellinger , Tristin Bellinger , Justin Bellinger , Nick Logan, Loralei Logan, Gavin Rigsby, Alexis Rigsby, and Joel Lucky; half- sisters, Lillian Hulttz & Bernice Ward; and half-brother, Kenneth Rolland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred & Hazel Bellinger ; sister, Rachel Bellinger -Johnson; and a half-sister, Juanita Staten.

A Memorial Service to be held at Darcy's Restaurant and Spirits on April 30th in Spokane, WA.

Joseph will be laid to rest at Washington State Veterans Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.

Memorial contributions given in Joseph’s honor may be given to  Stokes County, NC YMCA.
