Erma Sue Mackin

Erma Sue Mackin, 85, of Ligonier, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at home. She was born on November 19, 1938 in Horatio, Arkansas to Isabel and Opal (Smith) Green. She married William Mackin on August 27, 1960 in Kingman, Arizona.

Her favorite place to be was at home with her family. During her life, she had worked as an assistant manager for Motel 6 in Kingman, Arizona and also spent ten years supporting her husband as the vineyard manager while in Lodi, California.

Erma is survived by three daughters, Lola (Kevin) Hudson of Ligonier, Norrie (Bob) Johnson of Lincolnton North Carolina, and Ila Sherman of Kingman, Arizona; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; sisters, Laquitta Merrill of Arizona and Mary Siders of Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Opal; husband, William; a daughter, Georgia Ann Ferguson; a son, William Thomas Mackin; a granddaughter, Georgia Ann Sherman; and a great-grandson, Caleb Hicks.

A celebration of life for Erma will be held at a later date in Kingman, Arizona.
