Daniel R. Moreno

February 11, 1988 — November 27, 2024

Daniel R. Moreno, age 36, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at home on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was born on February 11,1988 in Goshen, Indiana. Daniel was a life-long resident of Ligonier. He enjoyed playing his guitar, professional wrestling, playing cards, and watching old television shows. He loved making up funny songs, acting silly, and making people laugh. He loved his family with all his heart, and we loved him. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents, Guadalupe C. and Darlene (Margraves) Moreno of Ligonier, sister Elizabeth A. Woodrum (West Carrollton, Ohio), brother, Austin M. Moreno (Ligonier), his son Hayden M. Moreno (Alton, NH), grandmother, Lillis M. Margraves (Ligonier), grandfather, Bernabe C. Moreno (Ligonier), seven aunts, 2 uncles, and 19 cousins. Although he loved all of his extended family, his aunt, Doris Brundige (Ligonier), his cousin, Joe Brundige (Albion), his cousin, Miguel Oviedo, and his best friend since childhood, Matthew Vance (Dayton, Ohio) held a very special place in his heart.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Natividad C. Moreno (Ligonier),  grandfather, Bill G. Margraves (Ligonier), and his aunt, Ruth Duque (Houston, TX). And it would make him smile to mention his sister's 15-year-old dog, Reese Cup, who preceded him in death by one day. He really loved her a lot.

We all love you, Daniel. Be at peace.

According to his wishes, there will be no public services.

When Tomorrow Starts Without Me
When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,
that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand.
The angel said my place was ready, In Heaven far above,
and that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly love.
But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates,
I felt so much at home when God looked down and smiled at me
and told me: “Welcome Home”
So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart.
For every time you think of me, I’m right there in your heart.
