Charles Ferguson

Charles Leonard Ferguson Sr., age 73, of Cromwell, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 8:32 am at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 2, 1951 the son of George William Ferguson Sr. and Margie Louise (Wheatley) Morgan in Chicago, Illinois. Chuck served his country honorably in the United States Army including a tour in Vietnam. He worked as a repairman for Voors Appliance for many years. Chuck loved coffee, cars, and giving those he loved a hard time. He had a great sense of humor and was very ornery, but would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. True to fashion, his final act of generosity was through becoming a donor and leaving many final gifts to help others continue to live. He is survived by two children, Charles L. Ferguson Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Cheryl L. (Peter) Allen of Columbia City, Indiana; three grandchildren, Ethan B. Gates, Evan H. Gates, and Nolan L. Allen; along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his very special step-dad, Jack D. Morgan; three siblings, Sylvia J. Young, James R. Ferguson, and George W. Ferguson Jr. Chuck will be laid to rest at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, with military honors on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 10:30 am. The family will host a celebration of his life following the burial and all are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the the family for the ongoing care of his son, Chuck Jr. Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center is assisting the family with arrangements.
