Barbara A. Weeks

Barbara A. Weeks, age 87, of Albion, IN was called to heaven on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville, IN. She was born on February 18, 1935 the daughter of Alfred and Laura (Hahn) Oelfke in Fort Wayne, IN. On June 28, 1952, she married Bill Weeks and together they recently celebrated seventy years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Weeks of Albion, IN; sons, Bob Weeks and Barry Weeks of Albion, IN and Dave (Janel) Weeks of Mishawaka, IN; two grandchildren, Scott Weeks of Nashville, TN and BreAnn Weeks of Albion, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sherry (Fred) Berry and a grandson, Ryan “Bubby” Weeks. Barbara’s greatest joy in life was caring for her grandson, Bubby for many years prior to his passing in 2018.

A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at 11am on September 2, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Albion. Pastor Brett Frymier will officiate. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion, IN.
