Nettie J. Clouse

Nettie J. Clouse, age 92, of Albion, passed away on December 11, 2015 at Northridge Village Nursing Home where she resided the last nine months. She was born on May 20, 1923 to Edgar & Margaret “Jane” (Perry) Coulter in West Virginia. She married Donald E. Clouse from Albion on June 14, 1942 in West Virginia.

Nettie was a member of the American Legion of Ligonier and the Eagles of Albion. As a mother she was a loving and compassionate woman with a feisty sense of humor. She truly enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren. While her children were growing up she always had an open door for everyone. She enjoyed people from all walks of life.

Nettie is survived by three children, Catherine Hartman of Albion, Donald “Rodney” (Karen “Sue”) Clouse of Ligonier, Robin Budd of Ligonier; nine grandchildren, Tammy (Edward) Steele of Albion, Jody (Shon) Hoeppner of Columbia City, Sandra (Lee) Stringfellow of Wawaka, Joe (Lindsay) Hartman of Fort Wayne, Brad (Deanna ) Clouse of Elkhart, Daniel (Miranda) Clouse of Kimmell, Michael Clouse and Tammy of Syracuse, Stan (Trisha) Budd of Ligonier, Jaired Budd of Ligonier; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren with two more on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; two son-in-laws, Harold Hartman and Jerry Budd; and nine brothers and sisters.

There will be a private cremation committal held at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
