William Kann

March 3, 1933 — December 19, 2014

LEESBURG - William H. Kann, 81, passed away peacefully Dec 18th at home surrounded by his loving family, after a brief but bravely fought battle with cancer.
He was born 3-3-33 in Galesburg, Illinois to Elmer & Catherine Kann. He married Karen, the love of his life, on June 8, 1978, who survives in Leesburg, IN.
Bill proudly served 4 years in the US Navy as a flight mechanic during the Korean War.
He retired from American Maize in Hammond, IN in 1994 and moved to the Barbee Lakes area in 1996. He was co-owner, with his wife, of Heart of the Lakes Antique Mall in North Webster, IN.
Bill loved reading, traveling, camping, fishing but most importantly, his family. He leaves behind his children, David Kann, Golden, CO; Sheila (Chuck) McCann, Parker, CO; Rick Kann, Golden, CO; Celeste (Terry) Saunier, Kimmell, IN; Sandi (Greg) Burger, Knox, IN; four beautiful grandchildren, Caitlin, Melissa, Daniel & Katy; and 2 great-grandchildren Liam & Lilly. He is also survived by two sisters, Jean (Ward) Huevelman, Littleton, CO and Marjorie Bell, Galesburg, IL; and many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Kann.
No services are planned. Legacy Remembrance Center, Ligonier, IN is entrusted with the arrangements.
