Cynthia L. Franklin

Cynthia Lynn Franklin, age 61, of Kendallville, IN and formerly of Nashville, TN passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her residence. She was born on August 17, 1950 to Leamon W. & A. Lorene (Hursey) Franklin.

She graduated from East Noble High School in the spring of 1968 and attended IU starting in the fall. She obtained a BA in English and Drama and nearly finished an MA Degree before leaving the university. She studied voice while working on her MA as she was blessed with a beautiful four octave vocal range.

She was briefly married to Patrick Walker and lived in Indianapolis while he studied medicine. She moved to Nashville, TN after the couple divorced. Cynthia held a variety of positions while in Nashville in the County and private sectors. A typical Leo, Cynthia was generous, warm-hearted, creative, faithful and loving. Her creativity benefited her employers, family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Sharon Faville from Weston, WI formerly Sharon Franklin who graduated KHS in 1961. Cynthia was loved and cherished by her extended families in Tennessee, Indiana and Wisconsin.

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Cemetery in Kendallville, IN with celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Cremation will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
